This Visa is intended to cover four different types of Visits to Australia:
- For Holiday Purposes
- For Business purposes
- A family-sponsored visa
- An organized tour coming from China
While there are special requirements for each purpose, the following are some fundamental aspects of this visa:
- It's either for a vacation or for work.
- Its valid for either three, six, or twelve months at most
- For this visa, the base application fee ranges from AUD $130 to AUD $335
- You might be eligible to apply for a free or less expensive visa if you have a specific passport.
- Free of charge is the eVisitor (subclass 651) visa. You must possess a passport from a specific nation.
- There is a AUD20 service fee for the Electronic Travel Authority (subclass 601) visa. You must possess a passport from a specific nation.

Requirements for a Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) :
Meet the necessary standards for character and health: You are responsible for paying all medical expenses while you are in Australia. Unless your country and Australia have a reciprocal health care agreement, you will not be covered by Australia’s national health programme (Medicare). Therefore, it is advised to always bring health insurance when visiting Australia.

You must intend to participate in the Sponsored Family stream activities.
Documents you need to show the immigration department:
You have a qualified relative or a representative of the Australian government sponsoring you.
You’re going to see your relatives.
Proof you are a sincere tourist going to Australia.
Business Visa Stream Details:
For those coming to Australia for a brief business visit, the Business Visitor stream of the tourist visa is available. This covers engaging in general business or job inquiries, negotiations, or conference participation.
You must be outside of Australia at the time of application in order for this to be approved.
Your visa will remain valid for the time frame specified when it was issued if it is a Business (Short Stay) visa (subclass 456) or a Sponsored Business Visitor (Short Stay) visa (subclass 459).
Number of visits granted Business Stream:
You might only be permitted to enter once. If so, if you want to come back to Australia after leaving, you would have to apply for a new visa.
While your visa is still in effect, you may travel to and from Australia as often as you like, but the total amount of time you spend there cannot exceed the length of stay you have been given.

Your Business Activities may include the following:
- Making general inquiries about businesses or jobs
- Examining, negotiating, signing, or evaluating a contract with a business
- Actions taken in conjunction with a formal government-to-government visit
- Taking part in seminars, trade shows, and conferences as long as you are not receiving payment from the event's organisers in exchange for your attendance
You won’t be working for or offering products or services to a company or individual based in Australia.
While in Australia, you will not conduct direct sales of products or services to the general public.
Holiday Visa
This visa falls under the tourist category, which is reserved for visitors coming to Australia for leisure, tourism, visits to family and friends, and other activities unrelated to business or medical care.
This visa stream is for travelers to the nation. You must be outside of Australia when submitting your application. Therefore, you must only apply for it if you are outside of Australia.
In Australia, you can go on vacation or visit relatives and friends.
Australia allows for up to three months of study there.
Genuine unpaid volunteer labour is only permitted if an Australian citizen would not otherwise be compensated for the work (you can be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses such as meals and accommodation).
Your Visa is only granted once you can verify that you:
Meet the requirements for character and health
Have sufficient funds to cover your expenses while you are visiting Australia.
Show that you plan to participate in the tourist stream events.
The Department may also request proof that you have health insurance for a full year.
